Greg Tereposky

Greg Tereposky is a founding partner of Tereposky & DeRose LLP. His international trade career began in 1989 as a Canadian trade policy officer assigned to the Subsidies and Trade Remedies Division  responsible for issues related to the  implementation of the Canada-United States Free Trade Agreement, including the Canada-US Working Group on Subsidies and Trade Remedies. He has practised international trade and investment law since 1992, representing private companies, industries and governments. He is rated as AV® Preeminent™ by Martindale-Hubbell®,  its highest legal peer rating and is recognized by Chambers Global as “one of the world’s top litigators for issues involving WTO” (Chambers Global 2017). He regularly appears as counsel before panels, arbitrators and the Appellate Body in WTO dispute settlement proceedings, NAFTA panels, investor-state arbitration tribunals and Canadian domestic trade authorities and tribunals. He was appointed as a panelist in the WTO dispute European Union – Anti-Dumping Measures on Imports of Certain Fatty Alcohols from Indonesia. He has advised in international trade negotiations, including the NAFTA, Uruguay and Doha Rounds of WTO negotiations, and numerous bilateral and multilateral negotiations. He acts as counsel and adviser on all types of Canadian customs and trade issues, including matters before the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), Global Affairs Canada, Finance Canada, and the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT). He is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of TradeLawGuide (, the leading legal research database for WTO law and a co-founder of InvestorStateLawGuide (, the leading legal research database for investment treaty law.
