Alberto has four years of experience in alternative dispute resolution. He has assisted in the defence of investment arbitrations under the ICSID arbitration rules, as well as international commercial arbitrations under the ICC and AAA arbitration rules. Previously, he occupied various positions in the Directorate General for Human Rights and Democracy of the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs where he participated in the negotiation of treaties and resolutions adopted by the United Nations General Assembly, the Human Rights Council and the Organization of American States. He also served as an assistant law clerk at the Mexican Supreme Court.

  • Assisted with the defence of investor-state arbitrations on behalf of the Governments of Mexico and Venezuela, including in the context of the following arbitration proceedings:
