Denyses Barthelemy Giron is a summer law student at Tereposky & DeRose LLP and a Juris Doctor candidate at the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Law. She supports the firm’s international trade and investment practice, assisting on matters related to anti-dumping and countervailing duty investigations, WTO dispute settlement, customs compliance, economic sanctions, and public procurement.
Denyses has gained experience in international and public policy through her work with the Senate of Canada, where she supports legislative initiatives related to foreign affairs and international trade, and with Global Affairs Canada at the Joint Delegation to NATO, where she contributed to research and briefing materials on geopolitical and trade-related issues. Prior to law school, she worked with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police as an Information Management Specialist, advising on disclosure and information governance.
She is actively involved in the law school community as an Assistant Editor of the Ottawa Law Review and through advocacy and dispute resolution initiatives. Denyses holds a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in Political Science from Simon Fraser University and is fluent in English and Spanish.
