Hugh Jones is a summer student at Tereposky & DeRose LLP. He assists with international trade matters, including Canadian anti-dumping and countervailing duty investigations, WTO dispute settlement, economic sanctions, public procurement, and customs matters.
Hugh will be entering the third year of his J.D. at Queen’s University. While at law school, Hugh represented Queen’s at the 2022-2023 John H. Jackson Moot Court Competition in WTO law. The Queen’s team was a finalist in the All-American round and advanced to the final oral round in Geneva. Hugh was also a Co-President of the Queen’s International Law Club.
Prior to law school, Hugh obtained his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Alberta, graduating with First Class Honours. As a student, Hugh interned in various roles in the federal government.
